To celebrate the Douglas-Coffee County Animal Shelter’s transition to new management, an open house and ribbon cutting was held on Friday afternoon, April 28. New managers Chuck and Stacy Jones and family have extensive experience in animal care and are eager to serve our community. The Jones family welcomed visitors on Friday afternoon by serving hot dogs with all the trimmings and provided tours throughout the facility. You can visit the animal shelter Monday – Friday from noon – 4:30 at 620 Iron Road in Douglas or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DCCanimalshelter
