Mr. Frazier Nathaniel Porter, age 83, of West Green passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 13, 2017, at Memorial Health University Medical Center, in Savannah, following a brief illness. He was born March 17, 1934 to the late Andrew Jackson ‘A. J.’ Porter and the late Mary Devera Tomlinson Porter. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard Porter and Linwood Porter, sisters, Bernestine Cullpepper and Carolyn Porter.

Mr. Porter, a native of Cairo, Ga., was a retired employee of Coca Cola of Douglas, after 23 years of service. He also retired after 10 years with Inter-Metro as a supervisor of Welders. Mr. Porter was a member of West Green Church of God.

Survivors include: his wife, Hiawatha Courson Porter of West Green, Ga.; daughter, Nancy (Kim) Phillips of Douglas, Ga.; sons, Larry Nathan Porter and Michael Andrew Porter, both of West Green, GA.; sisters, Lavenier Harrell of Austin, Tx.; Betty Lewis of Enigma, Ga., Mary (Alton) Corbett of Jennings, Fl., Martha Miller of Ocala, Fl.; grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda) Phillips of Nashville, TN., Nathan Porter of West Green, GA., Stephen (Mahalie) Porter and Miranda Porter, both of Douglas, Ga.; five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m., at West Green Church of God, with Rev. Charles Blair and Rev. Hugh Anderson officiating. The Interment will follow in Lone Hill Cemetery.

The family will begin receiving friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m.., at Ricketson Funeral Home.
