Mr. Daniel Seaborn Sellers, 82 of Douglas, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born March 26, 1935 to the late Joseph Lewis Sellers, Sr. and the late Nora Lydia Salter Sellers. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Ethelene Walker, Novella Spivey and Nettie Ponder and brother Ernest Sellers.
Mr. Sellers was born in Worth County, but had lived in Coffee County for a number of years. He retired from Joseph Campbell Company and was currently employed at Procare in Douglas. He was a member of Providence Calvary Holiness Church in Worth County.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 Years: Grace Laverne Walker Sellers of Douglas, GA; daughters: Joyce S. Roberts of Douglas, GA and Hazel S. (Michael) Davis of Adel, GA; ‘adopted’ daughter: Velma Creech of Douglas, GA; brother: J.L. Sellers of Broxton, GA; sister: Lavada Ruth Spivey of Doerun, GA; grandchildren: Jessica Hinson of Adel, GA, Sonny (Sue Ellen) Roberts of Colorado Springs, CO and Beth Fish of Sparks, GA; step grandchildren: Alicia (Jimmie) Amerson and Faith (Ryan) Stewart both of Kirkland, GA; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The interment will follow in Kimball Cemetery in Worth County.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 21, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
