Mr. John McDowell, age 75, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. McDowell was born July 8, 1942 to the late Clarence McDowell and the late Lillian McDowell.
Mr. McDowell, a native of Aububon, New Jersey, retired from PCC while working in the Wax Room. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran. Mr. McDowell was a Lutheran by Faith.
Survivors include: daughters: Angel McDowell of New Jersey; Tina (Scott) Scarborough of Milan, GA, Vivian Smith, Glendora (Wayne) Harper and Peggy Willis, all of Douglas, GA.; 10 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. The Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.
