APD arrest seven in separate incidents

Sunday, Jan. 7, the Alma Police Department arrested Tierra Shanay Matheny on an outstanding arrest warrant for theft by taking for incidents which occurred during July and August of 2017 in which Matheny is alleged to have stolen $698.00 while working as a cashier for Flash Foods.

Tuesday, Jan. 16, APD arrested Christina Maldonado, no photo available, on outstanding warrants.

Thursday, Jan. 18, APD’s Crime Suppression Unit arrested Christopher Blake Carter, 20 of Alma, for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance (felony). Carter was wanted on forgery warrants stemming from a separate incident.

Friday evening, Jan. 19, APD arrested Candace Stokes, 26 of Alma, at her E. 12th St. home on outstanding bench warrants. Stokes was additionally charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers after resisting arrest and attempting to conceal another wanted person in her home. Oree Grissett, 38 of Alma, was found hiding in a bedroom closet in Stokes’ home. Grissett was wanted on several misdemeanor charges following a traffic stop on Jan. 11 when Grissett fled from officers on foot.

Also, on Friday, Jan. 19, APD arrested Glenn Boatright and Paul Christopher King on outstanding warrants, no photos available of either.
