At the City Commission meeting held on Monday, March 26, 2018, the Mayor and Commission recognized Douglas Fire Department’s newest certified Firefighter. Jonathan Wright graduated from the Georgia Fire Academy on March 2, 2018.

Firefighter Wright completed an eight week/345 hour Basic Firefighter Training course and graduated as a Georgia Certified Firefighter, National Pro-Board Certified Firefighter 1, and a National Pro-Board Certified Hazardous Materials Operations Level Firefighter. Firefighter Wright has worked hard to obtain these certifications and is now a valued member of Shift A at the Douglas Fire Department.
