The City of Douglas Community Development Department is happy to announce the return visit of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Tourism Product Development Resource Team (TPD). A light luncheon and discussion will be held with city & county leaders, community partners, and tourism industry associates. The purpose of the meeting will be for the community to hear future tourism product development suggestions from the team based on their previous visit and tours of Douglas and Coffee County. “We are excited to see the results from the TPD team visit,” says Georgia Henderson, Community Development Director. “These state professionals will be returning with their recommendations to increase tourism and economic development in Douglas and Coffee County. Anyone with a vital interest in our community and economic development should attend this meeting.”

In February 2018, the TPD team visited several locations throughout Douglas, Ambrose, Broxton, West Green including the WWII Museum & Airbase, Broxton Rocks, General Coffee State Park, downtown, restaurants, and various other places. For more information about the upcoming visit from the Tourism Product Development Resource Team, please call 912-384-4555.
