At the City Commission meeting on Thursday, June 28, 2018, Waste Industries presented the City with a donation of $3,000 for the Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council. The Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council is a 14 member youth council created to foster leadership skills, volunteerism and provide recommendations to the City Commission regarding the policy that affect Douglas youth. On Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the City of Douglas Commission meeting, Waste Industries presented the City and Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation with a donation of $5,000 for the Douglas Miracle Field. The Douglas Miracle Field is slated to begin construction in Fall 2018. The Miracle Field will be a playground and baseball field for special needs children and adults.
