On Monday, July 9, officers with the Douglas Police Department gave back to the community by helping out during the Recreation Department’s cleanup day at Emma Ward Park. Officers used chainsaws, weed eaters and other tools to clear overgrown bushes and plant overgrowth. “This is just another way that we like to help out when the community and other agencies need us,” says Interim Police Chief Brannen Pruette.
