Mrs. Nelva Emily Courson Carlton, age 97, of Pearson, passed away, Monday, June 10, 2019 at Baptist Village in Waycross following an extended illness.
Survivors include: Nephews Ricky Courson and wife, Debra, of Pearson and Brad Courson; nieces Frenette Brown and husband, Bob of Bradenton, Fla., Larae Brown and husband, Jim of Dahlonega, Patsy Walker of Pearson, Vonita Walker of Pearson, Nelva Tanner and husband, Johnny of Pearson, Gail Courson of Pearson, and Teresa Smith and husband,Mackie of Pearson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carlton will be held, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home Chapel in Pearson with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Internment will follow at a later date at the National Memorial Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tn. Visitation for Mrs. Carlton will take place at Relihan Funeral Home on Thursday, June 13, 2019 starting at 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in her honor to Sweetwater United Methodist Church, 2100 U.S. Hwy. 441 N., Pearson, Ga. 31642.
