Mark M. Mobley, age 84, of West Green, passed away on Wednesday November 13, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Mark was born on August 7, 1935 in Coffee County, the son of the late Leonard Monroe Mobley and the late Hortense Wilcox Mobley. Mark was a prominent farmer of West Green and was a member of West Green United Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry L. Kirkland and a sister, Cadwin O’Steen.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne Grantham Mobley of West Green; two sons, Rodney Mobley (wife Wanda) of West Green, and Calvin Lamar Smith of West Green; two daughters, Beth Kirkland of Nicholls and Lynn Silas (husband Joey) of Douglas; brother, Marvin “Buddy” Mobley of Waycross; sister, Elnora Lott of Douglas; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday November 15, 2019 from Wilcox Cemetery in Coffee County at noon with Rev. Carl McDonald and Rev. Chris Calhoun officiating.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
