Roosevelt Holliman was born on July 11, 1932 to the late Georgia Mae Holliman in Cadwell, Georgia. Mr. Holliman passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice.
Roosevelt retired from the City of Douglas after working there for 20 years. He was well known in the community and was loved by everyone who knew him. He loved to fish, work in his garden, help people whenever he could and ride around in his red truck. Roosevelt Holliman was a pillar in his community and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his three sons, Roosevelt Holliman Jr. (Michell), Larry Holliman (Lisa), James Holliman (Renée) and daughter Carolyn Holliman; grandchildren Tryneasia Holliman, Peter and David Holliman, James and Jamika Temple (Roosevelt), Aaron Holliman, Diana Glaze and Jared Harrison (Larry), Desirée and Jarrell Holliman (James), Lederek and Martonious Holliman, Adrienne Stanford (Carolyn); six great grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephew, cousins and endearing friends.
Mr. Roosevelt Holloman Sr passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Holliman on Saturday, November 23 at 12 noon at the McIver Funeral Home Chapel.
