The South Georgia State College (SGSC) Foundation is proud to provide scholarship opportunities for students on the Douglas Campus. There are a variety of scholarship opportunities available annually, including academic-focused and need-based awards. In addition, awards are available to both traditional and non-traditional students pursuing either one of the college’s associate pathways or bachelor degree programs.

If you are interested in applying for a South Georgia State College Foundation scholarship to help cover your cost of attendance at SGSC for Fall 2020 semester, please visit http://www.sgsc.edu/alumni-and-friends/scholarships.cms for an application. You may also stop by the Office of Advancement in Richey Hall on the Douglas Campus to obtain an application. The priority deadline for an award to be presented at area high school honor events is March 31, 2020. The last date to apply for fall semester is July 15, 2020.

Only one application is needed to be considered for all available SGSC Foundation scholarships. Applications and essays can be submitted by mail, email or fax using the information provided on the application. You may also submit your application in person in the Office of Advancement located on the first floor of Richey Hall during normal business hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Please contact the Office of Advancement by phone at (912) 260-4269 or by email at cathy.hand@sgsc.edu if you have additional questions or need further information.
