Wanda Marie Lewis James, age 79, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020. Mrs. James was born on January 7, 1941 in Coffee County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Willie Milton Lewis and the late Zelda Wooten Lewis.

Mrs. James was a retired social worker with Coffee County DFACS with thirty years of service and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Ambrose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin James, and a brother, Jerry Lewis.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle James of Douglas, GA; brother, Alfred Lewis (Betty) of Douglas, GA.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2:00pm at New Hope Church Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Carver officiating.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
