Mrs. Mattie Benton, age 94 of Dothan, AL (formerly of Douglas, GA) passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2020 at Extendicare Nursing Care in Dothan following an extended illness.
Mrs. Benton is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Travis Adkison of Dothan, AL; and a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debra Benton of Glennville, GA; grandchildren Leslie and Dwight Standridge, April Adams and Trent and Robin Adkison; great-granddaughters Abra Adams and Dalice Adkison. In addition, Mrs. Benton is survived by several sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from noon until 2:00 PM at Family First Funeral Care in Dothan, AL. On Thursday, July 2, 2020, the family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home in Douglas, GA with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 PM in Douglas City Cemetery.
