Ms. Ethel Bernice Lane Griffin, age 88 of Douglas passed away Friday morning, July 3, 2020 at her son’s residence (T.C. Griffin) following an extended illness. Ms. Griffin was born September 25, 1931 to the late Horace E. Lane and the late Edna Mae Gardner Lane.

Ms. Griffin, a native of Gastonia Township, NC, had lived in Douglas for a number of years. She was a realtor and a real estate appraiser. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: Children Fulmer Frank Griffin, Jr. and wife Jane of Gallatin, TN, Anna M. Griffin of Deland, FL, and Thomas C. “T.C.” Griffin and wife Mary Ann of Douglas, GA; grandchildren Hurbert R. Walker of Brownstown, IN, Matthew Walker and wife Anna of Alachua, FL, Arron Walker of Gainesville, FL, F. Frank Griffin, III of Gallatin, TN, Anna Baird and husband Andrew of Gallatin, TN, Katherine Griffin of Gallatin, TN, William Custer IV of Douglas, GA, and John Lott and wife Christina of Nashville, GA; great grandchildren Madelyn Walker and Mia Rose Walker, both of Alachua, FL, Annsleigh Lott and Kaitlyn Lott, both of Nashville, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
