Hal Damon Hand, age 60, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hand was born on March 2, 1960 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of Marilyn Teresa Roberts Hand and the late Norman L. Hand Sr.

 

Mr. Hand worked as a design engineer with Griffin Lumber Company and attended Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Cathy R. Hand of Douglas, GA; daughter, Corrie Stephenson (Dylan) of Alpharetta , GA; son, Justin Hand of Smyrna, GA; mother, Marilyn Hand of Douglas, GA; sister, Teresa Anderson of Douglas, GA; brother, Andy Hand of Douglas, GA; nephew, Kevin Jones of Douglas, GA.

 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2:00pm at Chatterton Church Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until 1:30pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Musical selections will be “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away” on CD.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe distancing of six feet and wear a protective mask in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines concerning the coronavirus.
