Milford Anderson, age 82, of Nicholls, Georgia, born November 5, 1937 in Coffee County, Georgia, passed away on September 5, 2020 at the Bacon County Hospital, Alma, Georgia.

 

He was a retired farmer and a deacon of Dry Creek Baptist Church.  Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Anderson, mother, Mamie Taylor Anderson, brother, Buster Anderson, sister, Christine Anderson Bagley and great granddaughter, Gracie Kay Cauley.

 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Alice Purvis Anderson; daughter, Rhonda Anderson McElroy (Stanley); son, Mickey Anderson (Lori); also survived by grandchildren, Christopher McElroy (Halee), Brittney Spencer (Brent), Meagan Conley (Kenneth), Kaylee Cauley (Blake); great grandchildren, Landon Spencer, Braylee Johnson, Brayden McElroy, Brennlee McElroy, Lagan Spencer and Sidney Conley; sisters, Betty Adams, Nettie Clements, Maggie Hersey and Ann Burnam (Don); brother, Jerry Anderson (Thelma); sister-in-law, Dolphine Anderson; also several nieces, nephews and a large number of friends.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00am at Hall Cemetery in Nicholls, GA with Brother David Davis and Brother Buddy Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Dry Creek Baptist Church. Music will be provided by Shawna Carver, Kay Steed and Susan Davis (Most of All), CD music of “I Will Meet You in the Morning”.

 

Active pallbearers will be Christopher McElroy, Brent Spencer, Kenneth Conley, Blake Cauley, Ricky Hersey and Donnie Anderson; Honorary pallbearers will be Landon Spencer, Braylee Johnson, Brayden McElroy, Brennlee McElroy, Lagan Spencer, Sidney Conley and special angel, Gracie Kay Cauley.

 

The Anderson Family respectfully request that all visitation and meal service be held at Dry Creek Baptist Church on Thursday night, September 10 and Friday September 11, 2020.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
