On December 17, 2020, Coffee County deputies located two wanted persons at a residence in Coffee County. The wanted person was identified as Jimmy Lydell Thomas, 36, of Douglas, and Andrea Harrell, 30, of Douglas. Thomas was wanted on outstanding warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Firearm during the commission of a crime, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and a Probation Violation warrant. Harrell had an outstanding Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on unrelated charges.  The Coffee County Drug Unit responded to the location to assist in making the arrest.

When officers arrived on the location, Harrell was taking into custody without incident. Thomas refused to come out of the residence as deputies waited outside. A short time later deputies and detectives made entry into the residence and located Thomas inside. Thomas was taking into custody. A search of Thomas’s person resulted in the location of suspected drugs. A search of the immediate area was conducted and also resulted in the location of additional suspected drugs.

Thomas was also charged with Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance.

Thomas and Harrell were transported to the Coffee County Jail. Both individuals made first appearance bond hearings before the Magistrate Judge. Harrell was granted a bond and has bonded out of the Coffee County Jail. Thomas was denied bond by the Magistrate Judge and remains in the Coffee County Jail.

On December 19, 2020, K-9 deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white Tahoe driven by Gabriel Benjamin Carelock, 42, of Wray in the area Kings Ridge Dr. The stop was in reference to a possible theft in the area. Carelock had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and was also a person of interest in a current theft investigation. Carelock was taken into custody and a search of his person resulted in the location of a syringe containing suspected methamphetamine. Carelock was transported to the Coffee County Jail and was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects as well as being served with the probation warrant. Carelock made his first appearance bond hearing before the Magistrate Judge and his bond was denied. Carelock remains in the Coffee County Jail.
