CRMC adds two new cardiologists

CRH Cardiology Group is pleased to announce the addition of two new Interventional Cardiologists. They join an elite group of cardiologists, who, as a group, offer a wide array of cardiology services to South Georgia.

 

Manish Bansal, M.D., F.S.C.A.I., F.A.C.C. is a highly trained Interventional Cardiologist holding multiple board certifications. Dr. Bansal is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, and Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology from the Board of Nuclear Cardiology. These certifications require the physician to continually validate expertise and knowledge in the field, which ensures the physician is competent to diagnose and treat patients with varying levels of cardiac disease.


Dr. Bansal’s education includes an undergraduate degree from Rutgers and medical school and residency at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. Dr. Bansal continued his training by completing fellowships in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA.

 

With extensive experience in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Bansal has worked in many capacities, including both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, the development of a S.T.E.M.I. program in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and the education and training of medical residents. Recently Dr. Bansal was the Principal & Interventional Cardiologist at Cardiology & Vascular Associates in Orange Park, FL, and the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in St. Thomas, USVI, In addition, Dr. Bansal served as the Medical Director of the Orange Park Heart Failure Clinic in Orange Park, FL. Since joining the CRH Cardiology Group team in 2021, he led the development of the new Congestive Heart Failure Program and Clinic at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

 

Kendall Griffith, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C., F.S.C.A.I. is a well-trained Interventional Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Griffith’s primary areas of focus include Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Intervention, and Pacemaker/I.C.D. implantation and management. Dr. Griffith has been recognized for his life-saving work, establishing the first Interventional Cardiology program in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, performing the islands’ first coronary angioplasty, and the first cardiac defibrillator implantation while there. Serving St. Croix, USVI since 2004, he served as President and Co-Owner of Cardiovascular Associates of the Virgin Islands. He also served as Executive Director of the Virgin Islands Cardiac Center at Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center for a number of years. In addition, Dr. Griffith served as the C.E.O. of a 100-bed Safety Net Hospital, Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center, St. Croix USVI from 2013 to 2015.

 

Dr. Griffith is board-certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. After graduating from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Griffith completed his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, FL, and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. He continued his medical training by completing a four-year fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL.

 

An Interventional Cardiologist is a cardiologist with additional education and training in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting.

 

CRH Cardiology Group is fortunate to have Interventional, Invasive and Medical cardiologists, as well as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, who are well trained in cardiology and collectively serve the cardiology needs of a growing number of patients in South Georgia. Their main office is located in Douglas, Ga, with satellite offices throughout South Georgia, including in Valdosta and Waycross.
