Miss Linda Joyce Vickers, age 76 of Douglas passed away, Monday afternoon, May 24, 2021 at Memorial Health in Savannah following an extended illness. Miss Vickers was born June 28, 1944 to the late Herbert Vickers and the late Lucille Joyce Vickers.

Linda, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker. She was an active member of Harrell Grove Baptist Church and serving other churches in the area. She was loved by all that knew her.

Survivors include:

Special Friends: Geraldine Beasley of Douglas, GA
Van Beasley and wife Cindy of Douglas, GA
Stan Beasley and wife Kim of Douglas, GA
Alisa Wood and husband Greg of Pensacola, FL

5 Grandchildren: Priscilla Wood and Rachael Wood both of Pensacola, FL
Emma Beasley, Shanna Joiner and husband Joey and
Shanda Jordan and husband Ryan all of Douglas, GA

First Cousins: Phyllis Ricketson and husband Alvin and Audrey Ricketson
and husband Ray both of Douglas, GA
Sue Howden and husband Chip of Palm Coast, FL
Jennie Millhollin and husband Jim of Tennessee
Brenda Phillips and husband Gary of Douglas, GA

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday morning, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Harrell Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Steed and Rev. Buddy Jordan officiating. The interment will follow in Harrell Grove Cemetery. Miss Vickers will be placed in the church at 9:00 AM to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Musical Selections will be Congregational Hymns.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Joey Joiner, Ryan Jordan, Steve Warner, Floyd Cauley, Ron Adams and Van Grantham.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Pleas wear your mask for the safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
