On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the Douglas-Coffee County community celebrated the grand reopening and ribbon cutting for the new location of O’Malley Musical Instruments, owned by lifetime entrepreneur, Mr. Danny Maley.

On behalf of the Douglas-Coffee Co Chamber of Commerce, Lisa Hodge thanked Mr. Maley for his investment in the business community for so many years and recognized him for carrying on the musical legacy of his father, Mr. John Maley, who touched the lives of multiple generations as music teacher and band director for so many years. Father John Commins of St. Andrews Anglican Church offered a prayer of blessing and prayer of protection and prosperity over the business.  Danny expressed his sincere thanks to everyone for attending and introduced his very talented team of veteran musicians and music educators including John Reed, Michael Dukes, Dillon Selph and Brian Summerlin.

Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Kevin Elrod congratulated Danny on his expansion and offered the Chamber’s support in all their endeavors.   Mayor Tony Paulk expressed his enthusiasm for being able to attend the first official grand opening/ribbon cutting since 2020 pandemic and congratulations to the Maley family for their successful business and expansion to a larger facility.   Mayor Paulk was accompanied by Mayor’s Youth Council member, Jenna Williams, who expressed her appreciation for O’Malley’s business and the services they offer to our community and region.

Since 2015, O’Malley’s has successfully grown the instrument lease programs to schools as far north as Macon, and similarly to the South, East and West.  Be sure to stop by soon to see the full line of top-quality instruments, accessories, guitars, keyboards, recording consoles, music lessons, etc.  O’Malley Musical Instruments is located at 903 South Madison Avenue in Douglas.
