Westside Elementary’s Nena Stone named Teacher of the Year

On Friday night, Aug. 27, during the halftime festivities at Jardine Stadium, Nena Stone, second grade teacher from Westside Elementary, was named the new 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year.

 

A veteran educator with over 25 years of experience, Mrs. Stone began her teaching career at Satilla Elementary.  She taught on the campus of Indian Creek Elementary for 17 years and has been at Westside Elementary since 2016.

 

A graduate of Valdosta State University, Mrs. Stone earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Early Childhood Education.
