City announces January meetings

The City of Douglas would like to encourage citizens to attend or become a part of various city committees and boards. Currently, there are vacancies on the Ethics Committee, Citizens Advisory Committee, Keep Douglas Beautiful Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer on one of these boards, please call (912) 389-3405 or visit https://www.cityofdouglasga.gov.

 

The following is a list of January 2022 meetings for City of Douglas Boards and Committees.

 

Air Base Preservation and Development Committee – January 10, 12PM, at the Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.

 

City Commission – January 10 & 25, 7PM, at the CE Weir Center, 307 E. Bryan Street.

 

Recreation Commission – January 11, 11:45am, CE Weir Center, 307 E. Bryan Street.

 

Downtown Development Authority – January 12, 9AM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Land Bank Authority – January 13, 2PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Veterans Park Committee – January 19, 10am, Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.

 

Citizens Advisory Committee – January 19, 6PM, Youth Center, 200F S. Madison Avenue.

 

Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council – January 20, 6PM, Youth Center, 200F S. Madison Avenue.

 

Planning Commission – January 20, 6PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Historic Preservation Committee – January 27, 4PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.
