Stafford continues record-setting track season at Ware

Here are the top finishers from the recent track meet at Ware County High:

 

 

First Place Finishes

Chris Stafford placed first and set a new school record clearing 45 feet and 7.50 inches. Chris set a personal record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.1 seconds for a first place finish. 

Kate Merritt scored another first place finish in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11 minutes and 34.3 seconds. She set a new school record by 16 seconds. 

Will Bagwell placed first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10 minutes and 45.4 seconds. Will also placed first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4 minutes and 59.2 seconds. 

Second Place Finishes

Tiara Fletcher finished second in the discus with a throw of 82 feet and 4 inches.

Nevin Swansonscored a second place finish in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5 minutes and 19.6 seconds.

Anthony Paulk challenged the Ware County missing first place finish by 0.15 seconds. He ran a competitive time of 24.92 seconds. 

Boys 4X200 meter relay team of Dedrick Flagg, Chris Stafford, Anthony Paulk and Tyrese Woodgett finished with a time of 1 minute and 36.7 seconds.

Third Place Finishes

Nevin Swansonplaced third in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11 minutes and  15.4 seconds.

Grayson Lott ran hard to hold off for the third place finish with a time of 5 minutes and 22.3 seconds. 

Ainsley Myersplaced third in the 800 meter run with a time of 3 minutes and 11.2 seconds.

Deuce Eddington had a third place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.7 seconds. 

Iyani Johnsonscored a third place finish in the 200 meter test with a time of 29.3  seconds.

The Boys 4X400 meter Relay team of Will Bagwell, Nevin Swanson, Travis Adams Jr, and Deuce Eddington scored a third place finish with a time of 3 minutes and 58.5 seconds. 

The Girls 4X100 meter relay team of Camilla Scott, Iyani Johnson, Janaya Brown, and Jamia Hudson for a third place finish.

The boys 4X100 meter relay team of Dedrick Flagg, Chris Stafford, Anthony Paulk, and Tyrese Woodgett scored a 44.88 second time for a third place finish.
