Gerald Ashley Vickers, age 83, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Mr. Vickers was born on January 2, 1939, in Willacoochee, GA to the late Jack David Vickers and the late Mary Margaret Faircloth Vickers.

 

 

Survivors include: Wife: Frances Lott Vickers of Willacoochee, GA, Daughter: Sylvia Ann (Roy) McWilliams of Ty Ty, GA, Son: Ashley Glynn (Christie) Vickers of Tifton, GA, Brother: Jack Robert Vickers of Douglas, GA, Sister: Mary Joyce Grisson of St. Augustine, FL, Two Step Sons: Robert (Twyla) McClendon of Douglas, GA and Ronny (Virginia) McClendon of Douglas, GA, Grandchildren: Henry McWilliams, Brad McWilliams, Calhoun Vickers, Caroline Vickers, Zane McClendon, Jordana (Keith) Thompson and JD Thompson, Great Grandchildren: Georgia McWilliams, Vae Vae McWilliams, Kady McClendon, Kristina McClendon, and Aubrey McClendon. Mr. Vickers was preceded in death by; Father: Jack David Vickers, Mother: Mary Margaret Faircloth Vickers, and Sister: Gail Vickers.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Myers officiating. 

 

 

Interment followed at Hebron Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Calhoun Vickers, Brad McWilliams, Henry McWilliams, Gary Lott, Zane McClendon, Robert McClendon and Charles Whittle.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
