The Lady Trojans had a busy week as they went 4-1 including wins over #3 ranked Wayne County and #8 ranked Alcovy.

The Coffee squad started the week with a 4-1 win over Wayne at home as Erin Robinson scattered 4 hits in the win. Kaci Thacker led the way with 2 hits and Hannah Capps, Morgan Hodges, Imani Paulk, and Morgan Adams chipped in a hit each.

Coffee then went on the road and shutout Statesboro in a region win as Erin Robinson picked up another no-hitter and struck out 16 Blue Devils. Kaci Thacker pounded out 3 hits while Capps, Imani Paulk, Robinson, Ella Winters, and Morgan Adams added 2. Hannah Capps homered again for the Lady Trojans while senior Morgan Adams hit her first career homer in the region win.

The Lady Trojans split in Lawrenceville in the Grayson Ram Classic over the weekend. Coffee was knocked off by #6 ranked Villa Rica 4-2 as Thacker, Hanna Hutchison, and Ella Winters picked up the only 3 hits in the game. Coffee then bounced back with a shutout against #3 ranked Alcovy 12-0. Imori Paulk led the way with 2 hits while several Lady Trojans picked up 1 each. Robinson picked up another win in the circle. The Lady Trojans wrap up the regular season with a region game at Bradwell Institute.

“The region tournament will take place in Statesboro on October 11 and 13 and we’re playing pretty good softball right now. These girls are going to make some noise in the postseason,” said head coach Stan Hughes.
