Here are the 2022 Christmas parade float winners

The Douglas Coffee County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Festival of Lights Christmas Parade. Entries were judged on workmanship, use of theme, use of lights and Christmas spirit. There are three categories of winners, Lightest and Brightest Award for best lights; Spreading Christmas Cheer Award for best presentation of theme; and Joy to the World Award for the entry that displays the true meaning of Christmas. In addition to a trophy or plaque, each first place winner will receive a $100 gift card, Each second and third place winner will receive a $75 gift card and each third place will receive a $50 gift card to a local business. 

 

 

First Place for the Lightest and Brightest Award goes to Walmart Distribution Center 6010 for their float “Believe in the Magic of Christmas!”;  Second Place goes to Stor-Mor Portable Buildings by Brandon Musgrove for their entry “Our future is bright, if we believe in the one who holds tomorrow.”  Rounding out this category is Kinetic by Windstream of Douglas who “Believes in providing the fastest service just as Ole’ Saint Nick does on Christmas night!”

 

 

First Place for Spreading Christmas Cheer goes to Unity Ministry and Pastor Joseph Cochran’s float “Believe on our Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”; Second Place goes to Johnson’s Auto and Tire for their float about “believing that their mission revolves around God’s eternal existence and offering great service to their customers at an affordable price”; Third Place is awarded to Senda de Vida Youth Group – Catalyst Generation.

 

 

 

In the Joy to the World category, Westside Holiness Baptist Church is our First Place Winner with their float “’We still BELIEVE’ in the birth of Jesus Christ.” Pineland Bank came in Second with their entry “We ‘Believe’ that the greatest Gift given to the world makes each Christmas special”; and Third Place goes to the City of Broxton and their float based on the Angel Tree.

 

 

The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank each and every entry in this year’s parade. We could not have such a fabulous event without our participants, judges, emcees and volunteers. Thank you to the City of Douglas for all of their hard work.
