Almost ten years after being released from prison following convictions for selling and possessing cocaine, 37-year-old Kevin Landers has returned to the Coffee County Jail for the same offense.

Last week, detectives with the Coffee County Drug Unit and K-9 deputies executed a search warrant on Landers at his residence, located at 203 South Daughtry Avenue. During the search, detectives discovered a .22-caliber rifle, approximately seven grams of suspected crack cocaine, around two grams of marijuana, and over $1,800 that was reported as proceeds from the sale of illegal narcotics.

Landers, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections website, was released from prison in 2013 after serving a little over two years for convictions, including possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and selling or distributing cocaine.

In Landers’ most recent arrest, the CCSO Drug Unit handed down charges of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

As of Friday morning, Landers had not been released from custody.
