Stephanie Danielle Cauley, 38, a resident of Live Oak, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Haven Hospice Care Center, Lake City, Florida, after two years of bravely battling cancer. She was born in Douglas, Georgia on July 17, 1984. She was a graduate of Columbia High School class of 2002, Lake City, Florida and devoted to Tanner Missionary Baptist Church. Stephanie was a loving mother to her children, Landon and Olivia.

Stephanie’s pride was parenting and raising her children. She was a dedicated Georgia Bulldogs fan, and everyone knew it. She had such a big heart and helped others every chance she could. She enjoyed family vacations in the Great Smoky Mountains. She loved the beach and taking rides in her jeep with her children. She loved antique shopping and her many entrepreneurial ventures. In her last days, she shared: “As I look at my children, I didn’t feel cancer. I felt warmth and peace. Like the kind you feel when you first walk out onto the sand, hear the waves crashing, sun on your face, and all the peace in the world. These are the moments I will carry with me.”

She leaves to cherish her memories; former husband and closest friend, Donnie Harrison of Lake City, FL, mother, Linda Milliken (Steve) of Grand Island, FL, father, Floyd Cauley (Laura) of Douglas, GA, siblings, Stevie Milliken (Jessica) of Lake City, FL, Joshua Cauley (Amanda) of Oakley, CA, and Lindsey Reiter (Austin) of Lake City, FL, grandmothers, Gail Wilson of Daytona Beach, FL and Barbara Cauley of Douglas, GA, aunts and uncles, Susan Griffis (Tony) of Ormond Beach, FL, Jonathan Mickler (Lisa) of Palm Bay, FL, and Renee Warner (Steve) of Valdosta, GA. A host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers Danny Wilson, Randy Mickler, and David Cauley, and uncle Craig Mickler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Tanner Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Jordan Officiating. The interment will follow in the Harrell Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Tanner Missionary Baptist Church.

The obituary was submitted by the family.
