Mr. Tommie Lamar Soles, age 67 of Douglas, passed away Friday morning, June 2, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. Soles was born July 15, 1955 to Luzene Brigmond Soles and the late Rev. Joe Warren Soles. 

 

 

Mr. Soles, a native of Coffee County, was a Master Carpenter and had been a truck driver for RBI of Valdosta. 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His wife: Glenda Highsmith Soles of Douglas, GA 

 

 

7 Children: Kimberly Gilio of Warner Robins, GA 

Stacey Exley and husband Tray of Jacksonville, FL 

Tommy “T.J.“ Soles, Jr. and wife Angela of Jacksonville, FL 

Kristi Taylor and husband Rex of Douglas, GA 

Chris Harrell and wife Janet of Douglas, GA 

Loy McLendon and husband Terry of Douglas, GA 

Joy Taft of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Mother: Luzene Brigmond Soles of Claxton, GA 

 

 

4 Siblings: Brenda Soles of Claxton, GA 

Angela Nettles of Claxton, GA 

Tina Mintz of Jacksonville, FL 

Lynn Keen and husband Karl of Pembroke, GA 

 

 

15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Other Relatives 

 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, June 4, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

The funeral service will be held on Monday morning, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Deems officiating. The interment will follow in Paulk Cemetery at Union Primitive Baptist Church. 

 

 

The pallbearers for the service will be: Nicholas Prescott, Austin Taft, David Taft, Gauge Gilio, Darein Gilio and Corey Manac 

 

 

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be: CB Radio Family 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
