Regina Davis Courson Lancos, age 60 years old of Moultrie, Ga., formerly of Pearson, left this world for her eternal home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

She was born on May 21, 1963, in Douglas to Edwin Davis, Sr. and Janice Vickers Davis. She resided in Pearson with her loving parents, older brother Gary, sister Tracy, and brother Edwin, Jr.

Regina was a kind, gentle, and caring person. She had a very quick wit and a wonderful, dry sense of humor which made it a pleasure to be in her company. She was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work, honesty in her business dealings, and to demonstrate integrity in all aspects of her life. Regina graduated from Atkinson County High in 1981. She continued her education at Valdosta State University to receive a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree from Cambridge University in Early Childhood Education. She was employed for 32 years with the Atkinson County School System as a Migrant Program Coordinator and classroom teacher in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten grade levels. Regina loved the opportunity that teaching provided her to have a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young children. She enjoyed sharing the many precious classroom memories made while teaching the sweet and delightful children in her classrooms of her 32-year career.
