Mrs. Marie M. Carver, age 89, passed away on July 21, 2023, at Golden Isles Hospice in Brunswick, GA, following an extended illness. She was born on August 23, 1933, in Douglas, GA, to the late Mr. Eston Merritt, and Ms. Louise Batten Merritt.

 

 

The survivors include: Two Daughters; Janet (Keith) Carver Ross, of Brunswick, GA, and Reva Catherine Carver, of St. Simons, GA, Six Grandchildren; Walker Freeman, James Freemen, Lauren (Pace) Whittaker, Grayson Carver, Gavin Carver, and Ridge Ross, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her beloved Husband James Henderson Carver, One son; James Edsel Carver, Father; Eston Merritt, Mother; Louise Batten Merritt, And Step-Father; Lindsey Merritt.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 12:00PM till 2:00PM at Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, GA.

 

 

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home on Douglas, GA, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 2:00PM, with Rev. Den Weniger officiating. Interment will follow at Carvers Chapel Cemetery.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
