Karen ‘Kaye’ Hulett, 67

Karen “Kaye” Hulett, 67, of Milan, Ga, passed away peacefully on Saturday,  November 18,  2023 at Community Hospice of Vidalia,  following an extended illness.

 

 

Kaye grew up in Telfair County where she attended Telfair county High School.  She received a practical nursing degree as well as an accounting degree in college. Kaye enjoyed singing and playing the piano,  especially in church, as well as arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends. 

 

 

Kaye is preceded in death by her parents,  Mr. And Mrs. James Welford Jones and Ms. Carolyn Jones all of Milan. 

 

 

Kaye is survived by her children, Rusty Steverson of Fitzgerald and Jessica Steverson of McRae. Her grand children: Christian(Courtney) Steverson of Hazlehurst, Kailey Coleman of McRae, Carson Steverson of McRae, and Logan and Allen Steverson of Hazlehurst. Her great grand children: Aubree and Sawyer Coleman of McRae and Kara Steverson and Madyson Torelli of Hazlehurst. Her siblings: Peggy(Elmer) Roberson of Milan,  Mike (Betty) Jones of Douglas,  Bessie(Chris) Lowe of Milan, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

 

 

The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers,  the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice of Vidalia. 

 

 

Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
