Coffee Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Mark Brulte, M.D., as the new Medical Director of Emergency Services. Dr. Brulte will serve as the physician leader to ensure quality care for the Emergency Department patients.

Dr. Brulte completed his medical education at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to completing medical school, Dr. Brulte also attended and completed LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Brulte completed the Internal Medicine Residency program at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and has over 25 years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Brulte is a caring and talented physician who is well respected as an excellent clinician and patient advocate. Dr. Brulte shared, “I walk into a room, and I always ask myself, what would I do if this person were a member of my own family?” This approach guides his actions in caring for each and every patient. Well-known throughout our community and South Georgia for patient trust and positive patient outcomes, Dr. Brulte is excited to return to Coffee Regional Medical Center and Coffee County, which he and his family call home.

Dr. Brulte and his wife Amanda, a family nurse practitioner, have recently launched a successful medical podcast called Marked Medicine, edited and produced by Nick Cady. In their show, they cover an array of healthcare topics, with the ultimate goal of educating others on the many signs and symptoms of various medical issues, as well as how to best advocate for their personal health. Dr. Brulte and Amanda have been joined on their show by many community members who share their personal healthcare stories in hopes of educating and helping others through similar health-related issues. Visit www.MarkedMedicine.com to learn more.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Brulte enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, Kate, Saylor, and Aralin. They especially enjoy watching their daughters excel in school and various sports, as well as spending time as a family on their hobby farm here in Douglas.
