Douglas and Coffee County will celebrate the 2023 state champion Coffee Trojan football team on Saturday, December 23, 2023, with a parade through downtown beginning at 2 p.m.
The parade will begin on Peterson Avenue around First United Methodist Church, proceed south to Bryan Street, where the route will turn left and end on Bryan Street at Central Square Complex. The parade will celebrate the players, coaches, band, cheerleaders, and all of those who made this season the resounding success that it was.
At Central Square, there will be a ceremony inside Gym B. There will be a short break between the end of the parade and the beginning of the ceremony so everyone can get inside and find a seat.
The last few months have been historic for the Douglas-Coffee County community. History will continue Saturday afternoon and you will not want to miss it.
