Betty Jo Boatright, age 75, of Port Wentworth, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Ms. Boatright was born on March 1, 1948, the daughter of Mr. Otis Spivey and Mrs. Berta Mae Spivey.

 

 

She is survived by: Two Daughters; Stacey Bennett of Port Wentworth, GA, and Stephanie Boatright of Hazlehurst, GA, Three Sons; Robert Stanley (Deanna) Kirkland of Thomasville, GA, Michael Steven Boatright of Blackshear, GA, and Spencer Earl (Brenda) Boatright, Step-children; Sandy (Danny) Gill of Blackshear, GA, and Shawn (Denise) Boatright of Blackshear, GA, Ten Grandchildren; Amanda Raulerson, Alexis Gamage, Morgan Mullis, Jordan Gage Mullis, Brooke Mullis, Jaycee Mullis, Matthew Kirkland, Benjamin Kirkland, Jaden Boatright, Breanna Boatright, and Three Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Husband; Daniel Boatright, Father; Otis Spivey, Mother; Berta Mae Smith, One Son; Marcus Shane Kirkland, Three Brothers; Tommy Spivey, Jimmy Spivey, and Wayne Spivey, and One Sister; Latrelle Spivey.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Douglas, GA, from 1PM until 2PM.

 

 

 

Funeral services will be held on December 4, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2PM, with Rev. Steven Sirmans, D.J. O’Neal, Bruce White, Roger Nelson, Brook Mullis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Satilla Memorial Gardens in Douglas, GA.

 

 

Active Pallbearers include: Gage Mullis, Matthew King, Will Hobbs, Matthew Kirkland, Ben Kirkland and Kaden Raulerson.
