Mrs. Bonnie Jean Griffin Crosby, age 70, died Sunday evening, February 18, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a recent illness.

Mrs. Crosby was born April 8, 1953 in Ware County, Georgia to the late Rev. James Daniel Griffin and the late Effie Mae Hickox Griffin. Through the years she resided in many South Georgia communities as she served God alongside her husband, the late Bishop Robert Crosby, as they evangelized as well as pastored various churches within the Church of God of Prophecy and later within the Church of God. She loved her Lord and Savior and was devoted to spreading the gospel as a devoted minister’s wife. Her desire to care for people was further carried out in her work as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a number of years. Her greatest earthly treasures were her family. She loved her children, but she held a special bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Mrs. Crosby was preceded in death by her Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Allen Daniel Crosby and Delouise Geraldine Henderson Crosby; 1 Brother, Rev. J. W. Griffin; 3 Brothers-In-Law: Ricky Corwin, Alton “Buddy” Crosby, Russell Rainwater; and 1 Sister-In-Law, Lurraine Delk.

Mrs. Crosby is survived by 3 children: Gina Renee Quick (Tim), Allen Daniel Crosby (Miranda), Robyn Denise King (Jason); 7 Grandchildren: Ashley Michelle Quick (Christian), Brandy Nicole Quick, Andrew David Crosby, Faith Marie Rayner (TJ), Makenna Lynn Combs (Austin), Ethan Alex King (Laycee), Matthew Daniel Crosby; 3 Great Grandchildren: Natalie Crosby, Helena Sofia Aguilar, Jaxon Savalas Rayner; 1 Brother: Ferrell Griffin (Pat); 3 Sisters: Kathleen Corwin, Susan Kovacs (Don), Joyce Ann Bullard (Bob); 3 Brothers-In-Law: Hardy Crosby (Lona), Wayne Crosby, Leon Crosby; 4 Sisters-in-Law: Mary Rainwater, Linnie Fay Moore (Ricky), Glenda Griffin, and Brenda Frost (James). Several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

The funeral service will be held for Mrs. Crosby on Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dannie Hix, Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. Hardy Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Jowers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, February 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be: Andrew Crosby, Mathew Crosby, Alex King, TJ Rayner, Christian Aguilar and Austin Combs.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Wesley Griffin, Dennis Griffin, Richard Corwin, Gavin Reynolds, Chris Moore, Jeffrey Spivey, Leon Crosby and Wayne Crosby.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.

Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
