Officers from the Hazlehurst Police Department have arrested four juveniles for allegedly breaking into and burglarizing The Vape Shop.

On August 30, 2024, just before midnight, Hazlehurst police officers responded to The Vape Shop located at 6 N. Tallahassee Street in Hazlehurst in reference to an alarm.

When they arrived, officers saw that the front door glass had been shattered. Several items from The Vape Shop were stolen and later recovered. After officers reviewed video evidence and conducted a thorough investigation, the juveniles were identified and arrested for burglary the following day.

All juveniles were transported to Cadwell RYDC with the exception of one. The reason one of the juveniles were not transported was due to the youth detention center not accepting juveniles with extreme impairment; the juvenile in this incident was allegedly impaired due to illegal substances. All juveniles involved in this burglary were between the ages of 11 – 15.
