The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the winners of the 60th Annual Festival of Lights Christmas Parade. The Chamber would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out and everyone who participated to make this a fantastic parade. The workmanship this year was amazing, especially after all Coffee County has been through these past few months. It was great to see everyone show-up and show-out for our community. It was a tough decision by judges and Chamber staff, but the winners are:

Joy to the World Award – This award goes to the entry that best displays the true meaning of Christmas.

1st Place – Douglas Christian Fellowship Church of God – Douglas Christian Fellowship proudly celebrates 60 years of Christmas in Coffee County! Remembering that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we invite you to embrace His timeless love and joy this holiday season. Merry Christmas to all!

2nd Place – Senda de Vida Church Youth – Merry Christmas from Catalyst Generation! We pray this Christmas is filled with lots of joy and laughter.

Lightest & Brightest Award – This award goes to the entry with the best lights and creative use of lights.

1st Place – Johnson’s Auto Sales and 24-hour Towing – A 3rd Generation Business: proudly serving Coffee Co. In 2024 Towing through Helene and Back. Thank you to each and every Lineman, Techs, Healthcare Workers and all the helping hands who served beautiful Coffee County.

2nd Place – A Action Air Conditioning and Heating – At A-Action, we strive to make your comfort our top priority, offering reliable solutions tailored to meet your needs and exceed your expectations. From our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a season filled with warmth, joy, and peace!

Spreading Christmas Cheer Award – This award goes to the entry with the best presentation of this year’s theme and the fun spirit of Christmas.

1st Place – General Coffee State Park – Beloved by Coffee County residents, the 1,500-acre park celebrates almost 60 years of recreational and educational adventures. Camping, fishing, hiking, birthday parties, farm visits, events and programs link the natural wonders and human history of our wiregrass region. The park plans to be back open to the public on March 1, 2025. Please go visit then.

2nd Place – Douglas Municipal Airport, Wiregrass Aviation School, The Warbird Academy, WWII Flight Training Base & Museum, & the Jade Hamilton Flight School – the aviation community at our Douglas Municipal “Gene Chambers” Airport would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and invite you all to visit the WWII Base and Museum! To learn to fly with Jade! To take a Warbird Discovery Flight with Chris Rounds! To enroll in Wiregrass Aviation School! Make 2025 the year you become a Pilot! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Thank you to Sid Cottingham for being this year’s very deserving Parade Grand Marshal. Honorable Mentions were almost too many to name, but a couple of our favorites were the City of Douglas Antique Fire Truck. This truck was bought new by the City of Douglas in 1938. Tonight, it is driven by Douglas Fire Department Firefighter of the year Firefighter of the Year Mason Hereington with Officer of the Year Captain Scott Wiggins. And, of course, Santa’s Sleigh pulled through downtown by GracePointe Church. Congratulations again to all the winners! They each will receive a gift certificate to the local restaurant or business of their choice.
