Ms. Carmen Suzanne Wright, age 45, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly at her home Tuesday evening, March 25, 2025.
Carmen was born August 18, 1979 in Douglas, Georgia, to Danny Wright and Cathy Jones Wright. She obtained an accounting degree and went on to become secretary for Danny Wright Irrigation. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed time spent with them. Although she had none of her own, she loved children. She had a love for all things outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and gardening. She also enjoyed reading, music, photography, cooking and spending time with her pets. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Hebron Baptist Church.
Carmen is survived by her parents, Danny and Cathy Wright of Douglas, Georgia; a sister, Danielle Moseley, and husband Travis, of Broxton, Georgia; a brother, Will Wright of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews and niece: Hunter Stewart of San Diego, California, Maylie Vickers and Daniel Vickers, both of Broxton, Georgia; along with a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Carmen’s funeral was held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Merritt and Rev. Gregory and Jackie Pope officiating. Musical selections included prelude and postlude provided by Vonnie Musgrove, “Far Away” presented by Vonnie Musgrove and Faye Wright, along with “There Was Jesus” from the recorded music of Dolly Parton and Zach Williams, and “Lead Me Home” from the recorded music of Jamey Johnson. A video slide show of Carmen was played during the service to the song “My Redeemer Lives” from the recorded music of Nichole Mullen. Interment followed in the Sayer Family Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were: Elijah Wright, Kade Wright, Hunter Stewart, Kevin Wright, Cannon Moseley, Charles Royal, and Justin McReady.
