A 31-year-old Douglas woman who was arrested in February on animal cruelty charges has been arrested again, this time on a variety of charges related to an alleged April 19, 2025, domestic dispute.
According to an incident report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on Megan Road at around 8:40 p.m. on April 19. When they arrived, the victim had left and walked to another incident. The victim, a male, said he was at his brother’s house when his brother and Sarah Davis, 31, began arguing. Sarah is his brother’s girlfriend. When the two started arguing, the report says that the victim attempted to leave. Then, according to the report, Sarah prevented him from doing so. She allegedly kicked him in the stomach, tried to hit him with a skateboard, and punched him in the face. The report also says that Davis grabbed the victim by the hair and pulled him to the ground before he left. The deputy saw injuries to the victim’s face.
The officer spoke to Davis who admitted to hitting the victim but only after he pushed her. She showed one officer a cut on her shin that she said the victim caused, the report says. However, the report also states that she told another deputy at the scene that the victim did not cause the injury.
The victim’s brother stated that Davis swung a skateboard at the victim and hit him in the face, the report says. There were also two children at the scene who witnessed the entire incident, according to the report. The victim’s brother also showed officers a bite mark on his elbow from Davis.
Witnesses reported that Davis also destroyed the front of a stove with the skateboard.
Throughout the investigation, the report says that Davis denied injuring either one. In the end, Davis was arrested and charged with simple assault, simple battery (family violence), battery, and two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail and later released.
