William Eric Strickland, 45, of Douglas, a registered sex offender, was taken into custody on April 30, 2025, by detectives with the Coffee County Sex Offender Unit.
Strickland was arrested on an outstanding warrant after failing to appear in court for his arraignment on April 23, 2025. The arraignment was related to a previous charge of aggravated assault stemming from an incident in March 2023.
Following a coordinated investigation, officers apprehended Strickland without incident and transported him to the Coffee County Jail. He remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
