A box of Fruity Pebbles led to a kerfuffle at a home on Kamera Road Saturday afternoon. As a result, a 30-year-old Douglas woman was arrested and jailed.

According to a sheriff’s office report, a deputy responded to a call of a possible assault at a house on Kamera Road around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. The officer spoke with the victim who said that she and her roommate, Amy Lynn Anderson, 30, of Douglas, had gotten into a fight. A video showed Anderson getting in the victim’s face and yelling about fighting. The video shows the victim pushing Anderson then Anderson began throwing fists, the report says.

Anderson stated that the fight started because her Fruity Pebbles had been moved. She said that she believed the victim had been taking her food. That led to an argument that turned physical. Anderson stated that she was fighting because she had been pushed first, the report says.

After reviewing the camera footage, the officer believed that Anderson was the predominant aggressor. As a result, she was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. Anderson was charged with simple battery-family violence.
