Under the warmth of a perfect spring morning, the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Miss Montine’s Boutique, a locally owned upscale women’s clothing store filled with timeless Southern charm.

Miss Montine’s Boutique is owned and operated by Lisa Williams, who, along with her family, recently relocated to Douglas to return to her roots on her family’s farm in nearby West Green. The boutique, located at 524 E. Ward Street, offers a curated collection of stylish women’s apparel, elegant home décor, and thoughtful gifts. The name “Miss Montine’s” is a heartfelt tribute to Lisa’s beloved grandmother, Montine, with whom she spent many cherished childhood summers.

The celebration was opened with a warm welcome from Chelsea Preston Graham, who shared the story of the boutique and her personal connection to Lisa through the Chamber. Lisa’s husband followed with a moving prayer, asking for the Lord’s blessing over the new business and their family’s journey.

Offering their own words of encouragement and congratulations were Ben Floyd, representing the Chamber Board, and Wynetta Bolder, on behalf of the City of Douglas—both of whom spoke beautifully about the significance of small businesses in the community and shared their well-wishes for Miss Montine’s success.

With heartfelt gratitude, Lisa addressed the crowd, thanking attendees—some of whom had traveled from out of town—for their support, encouragement, and belief in her vision. The morning concluded with a joyous ribbon cutting, as guests officially welcomed Miss Montine’s Boutique to the Douglas community.

Miss Montine’s Boutique is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m until 5 p.m. The store can be reached at 478-955-2838.
