The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Craig Shannon Shiver, age 54, of 439 Woodpecker Trail, Douglas, for violating the terms of his probation. Shiver, a registered sex offender, was taken into custody Tuesday without incident.

Shiver was originally convicted of Sexual Misconduct in the First Degree on November 14, 2013, in Stoddard County, Missouri. He is currently registered in Georgia as a sex offender, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 42-1-12, which mandates registration and ongoing compliance for individuals convicted of certain sexual offenses.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 42-8-38, which governs the revocation of probation for felony offenders, Shiver was found to be in violation of his probation conditions.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to public safety and the strict enforcement of Georgia’s sex offender registration laws.
