Two individuals were arrested and jailed after they were allegedly seen at a home at least one of them wasn’t supposed to visit. One of the subjects, Christopher Jordan, 44, of Douglas, wasn’t allowed at the house due to a previous family violence charge. The other, Raymond Minor, 56, of Douglas, was charged with obstruction after he allegedly refused to cooperate with officers when they arrived.
According to an incident report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, around 11 p.m. on May 26, 2025, officers received a call stating that Jordan and Minor were inside a home on Field Road. The complainant said that Jordan couldn’t be at the house because of previous trouble there, the report states.
An officer arrived and saw Minor get out of a car and start walking toward him. Minor said the residents were friends of his. He had seen them at a store earlier and decided to visit them at the Field Road address. When he arrived, the report says, they weren’t there.
Another officer pulled up and began looking around the property. As he was doing so, the report says he noticed a man, identified as Jordan, “hunched over in the passenger’s seat of the car” that Minor had gotten out of. The report says that Minor stuck with his story that he didn’t know that Jordan was in the car. Jordan, meanwhile, said that he had been in the car for a long time, the report says. Jordan also stated that he thought he wasn’t supposed to be around one of the residents and not the actual home.
Both Jordan and Minor were arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. Jordan was charged with violating a family violence order. Minor was charged with obstruction of an officer.
