A 30-year-old Douglas woman was arrested for the second time this year on June 6, 2025, after she allegedly broke a cabinet and pulled her mother’s hair during an alleged outburst.

An incident report from the sheriff’s office states that  around 1:30 p.m. on June 6, a deputy responded to a mobile home in a Kamera Road mobile home park to a report of Amy Anderson, 30, of Douglas, throwing pots and plates in the house and pulling her mother’s hair. When the deputy arrived, an out-of-county DFACS worker was onsite. She was there to evaluate another family member and, according to the report, witnessed Anderson’s alleged actions – to the point that she went outside while everything was going on. She added that Anderson had hit one of her kids but it not on purpose – she didn’t know where the child was standing. The child was crying as a result, the report stated.

When the deputy arrived, Anderson was changing a baby’s diaper and yelling that her brother was always hitting her and her kids. The complainant stated that Anderson had broken a cabinet door but hadn’t touched anyone in the house. Other witnesses stated that Anderson “was acting like she does when she is high.” Later, the victim admitted that Anderson had pulled her hair.

Anderson was arrested and charged with battery (family violence) and criminal trespass (family violence). She was transported to the Coffee County Jail.

In May, Anderson was arrested and charged with simple battery (family violence) after she allegedly got into a fight with her roommate over a box Fruity Pebbles.
