The Douglas Fire Department was honored to host the GPSTC Interior Search and Rescue Class on June 16-17. This intensive two-day course brought together dedicated firefighters from across the state of Georgia, including departments from Atkinson, Walton, Barrow, Camden, Douglas, Walker, Hinesville, and Austell.

Participants engaged in hands-on training focused on life-saving interior search and rescue techniques, enhancing their skills to better serve their communities in critical situations. The Douglas department was proud to play a role in strengthening fire service capabilities statewide and grateful to all who participated.

A special thank you goes to all instructors and to all the students who traveled to Douglas to take part in this important training. Collaboration like this ensures everyone is better prepared to protect lives and property.
