The Douglas Stingrays wrapped up an exciting summer season by finishing second overall in the state at the Georgia Recreation and Park Association (GRPA) Class B Championships — just a few points shy of the top spot. While the team had its sights set on the championship title, the Stingrays still have plenty to celebrate after an impressive season filled with hard work, growth, and determination.

Over the course of the summer, these athletes dedicated countless hours to practice and competition. Their commitment paid off with strong performances throughout the season and especially at the State Meet.

We are incredibly proud of each swimmer who represented Douglas at the state level, and we want to extend a special congratulations to our State Champions in the following events:

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the Stingrays’ coaching staff: Head coach Annesly Castañon, Greg Lee, Katie Winge, and Jim Minchew. Their time, energy, and passion for the sport have helped shape not only strong athletes but also confident and determined young people. Congratulations Stingrays on a fantastic season.
